Yes – BTL Exilis® is a safe, non-invasive procedure that has been rigorously tested. Best results are further enabled by an innovative ‘Energy Flow Control’ system, which administers an optimal level of heat energy throughout the entire session. This level is monitored closely and, if necessary, can be adjusted, to minimise pain or discomfort.

Patients report little to no discomfort – in fact, it can feel pleasantly warm.

The procedure requires no recovery time. You can have the treatment in your lunch break and return to work, or resume exercise, immediately after.

Improvements can usually be seen following your first BTL Exilis® treatment; however, the effect is gradual, and in most cases, 3-4 sessions, one week apart, are recommended. For best results, we will prescribe an individual treatment plan, tailored to your specific needs.

Clear + Brilliant is a revolutionary treatment that improves skin’s overall appearance in a very non-invasive way. It brightens dull complexions, evens out skin tone and helps to reduce the signs of ageing, such as fine lines and age spots.

It does this by helping to increase the production of collagen and bringing a fresh layer of skin to the surface. This will make your skin smoother more youthful and help bring out your natural glow.

We recommend a series of 4 to 6 laser treatments given 2 weeks apart. The number of treatments you need will be decided on during your consultation.

You may feel a warm sensation in the area being treated during the treatment. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied before you begin the treatment to minimise any discomfort you may experience. Although your skin will look red after your treatment, this redness should resolve within the next 12 to 24 hours.

Firstly, a local anaesthetic will be applied to the area about 30 minutes before treatment. Then, our highly-trained specialists will carry the Clear + Brilliant treatment. The laser treatment takes between 20 to 30 minutes. During the treatment, you may feel a slightly warm sensation. After the treatment, there will be redness on the treated areas, which will subside within a few hours, lasting up to 48 hours. The procedure is quick, and an ideal alternative to several more intensive treatments as its gentle laser means minimal downtime.

Radiofrequency microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that uses tiny needles and radiofrequency waves to rejuvenate facial skin. The treatment is a form of controlled skin injury. You’ll see results after 3 to 6 months. The exact time frame depends on the type and severity of your condition.

Botox injections are noted primarily to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. They’re also used to treat conditions such as neck spasms, excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), an overactive bladder and lazy eye.

Botox injections block chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cause muscles to contract. The most common use of these injections is to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes.

There is no recovery time following your Botox treatment. You can return to work the very same day if you wish. It should take 7-10 days to see the full results, which will last approximately 3-4 months. At this time, you can choose to return for another round of injections.

Any injection can hurt, but the needles used for Botox injections are very small, so pain is usually minimal. The area can be numbed with a topical anaesthetic cream or cold pack 10-20 minutes before the injections are given, so you may not feel much pain, if any.

It varies from person to person. Ideally, get a facial monthly because that’s how long it takes the skin to regenerate. Try to have a facial at least four times a year, as the season changes. You may need it more frequently if you are trying to clear up a case of acne, especially at the beginning. Otherwise, once a month is plenty. But, you can overdo it, especially if you have sensitive skin.

A regular facial is ideal for maintaining good skin health and can leave you with a radiant complexion. There are many types of facials to choose from. For example, some aid skin elasticity, preventing sagging, wrinkles and other ageing signs, while others help to combat dry skin ailments or acne.

Some people report the appearance of new spots within 48 hours after a facial. This can be a fairly common reaction – it simply indicates your skin is detoxifying itself, and a glowing complexion should soon follow. While spots are unlikely, you may want to schedule your facial a minimum of four to five days before any important event in order to allow your skin plenty of time to recover.

Treatment time takes approximately 30 minutes and is not painful. It can be slightly uncomfortable, so an anaesthetic cream can be used if the skin is a little sensitive. With minimal downtime – a little bruising and swelling may occur, but it will be short-lived and should settle within 24 hours – skin will become more radiant, hydrated, nourished and firmer with an improved texture. Mesotherapy can also help to improve sluggish blood circulation, aiding the body to flush out ageing toxins. It can instantly improve dull, tired-looking skin and superficial wrinkles.

Single treatments do not give lasting results. Therefore, a course of 6-8 sessions is advised every two weeks with maintenance treatments 1-2 times a year.

Mesotherapy can instantly improve dull, tired-looking skin and superficial wrinkles but can also help to improve sluggish blood circulation, aiding the body to flush out ageing toxins.

There may be some superficial swelling, redness and signs of tiny needle marks after treatment which will settle in 24-48 hours. This may take a little longer around the eye area, so you may need a little recovery time.

A few short weeks after the procedure, the newly formed collagen is growing and generating more and more healthy cells underneath the skin. That is when you will begin to see improvement in skin quality, colour and texture.

It is recommended to combine several methods of treatment to enhance the benefits of PRP and achieve optimum results. Types of combined therapy may include microneedling RF (POTENZA™), dermaPen, mesotherapy, Q-switch laser, or others. Our doctors will select the best combination tailored to your skin needs.

It is best to allow yourself time to heal. With the PRP, if no microneedling is done, you may experience mild redness, bruising and/or swelling at the site of injections. Swelling resolves in 24-48 hours, but a bruise can last up to 2 weeks for some people. Regular activity can be resumed the next day.

You will notice improvement with a single procedure, but on average, you will need 4-6 treatments 3-4 weeks apart for optimal results. Usually, the results should last about 6 to 9 months and is unique to the individual ageing process. It is recommended to repeat once a year for maintenance and yearly rejuvenation.

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger.

The selection of size (depth of the needle) depends on your skin concern:

• 0.25mm-1mm: For rejuvenation, anti-ageing, enlarged pores and fine lines, especially around the eyes and around lips. It is used to help better penetration and absorption of products.
• 1.5mm-2mm: For mild acne scars, chickenpox scarring, enlarged pores, blemishes, uneven skin tones, stretch marks, skin laxity, and wrinkles.
• 2.5mm- 3mm: In addition to all of the above, these sizes are particularly used for very deep acne scars and surgical scars. Such sizes should not be used at home. They are only for professional in-office use.

Typically, you will see results after the first treatment. Longer lasting and more significant results will occur after 4 to 6 treatments (spaced 4-6 weeks apart). The bigger the size of the needle, the more gap is required between sessions as collagen needs time to build. While 1mm needle can be used every 2 weeks, 1.5-2mm can be used every 3-4 weeks, the 3mm can only be used every 6 weeks.

Your skin will continue to improve over the next 6-12 months after a course of treatments and when combined with the recommended post-treatment care.

You may experience facial redness, mild swelling, and mild bruising for 12-48 hours after the treatment. This depends on the size of the needle and can be easily concealed with make-up. Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment.

Scientifically, there are three main types of chemical peels, which include:

• Mild peels — Treats mostly mild skin problems and requires less recovery time. Results are usually less noticeable and dramatic, especially after only one treatment, but mild peels are usually appropriate for every skin colour and pose little risk of hyperpigmentation.
• Medium-depth peels — Helps to remove facial lines, scars and birthmarks, but can cause side effects and take longer to heal from. Most people will see at least some results after one treatment, but multiple treatments are usually needed for full effects.

Chemical peels are an important part of skin health. As an effective treatment option for most skin types and concerns, they improve tone, texture, fine lines and wrinkles, breakouts and dark spots, but many people are intimidated to go in for their first peel treatment. The fear of leaving with a bright red face that hurts prevents some from experiencing the many benefits of a peel. The post-peel reality is a glowing, healthy complexion. You won’t necessarily experience visible peeling. That doesn’t mean your treatment was ineffective. Everyone experiences different levels of peeling, dependent upon skin type, resilience, type of peel and the number of layers applied. Some people experience ‘sheeting,’ when large portions of the skin peel off at once. Some experience ‘flaking,’ when small pieces of skin peel off, similar to dry, winter skin or mild peeling after a sunburn. Others experience exfoliation that is not visible. If you don’t peel, your skin is still exfoliating. In this case, the exfoliation is happening on a cellular level that can’t be seen by the naked eye. Typically, the deeper the peel you receive, the more extensive peeling you will experience.

Mild peels can be repeated about every four weeks. As for medium or deep peels, you only need to repeat them once or twice every year.

Peels are easy to work into a busy lifestyle. There is no downtime with the new and advanced types of chemical peels. You’ll leave your appointment with a healthy glow and be able to carry on with your regular activities. There are steps to ensure that your results are maximized. Following a post-procedure regimen recommended by your therapist will enhance your results and keep peeling and redness to a minimum. You should also avoid anything that causes sweating for 48 hours after treatment. Your doctor will give you more detailed instructions after your procedure, catered to your skin’s needs.

Until the evolution of laser tattoo removal, getting rid of tattoos was incredibly painful and largely ineffective. Laser tattoo removal works by using powerful light energy to break down the size of the particles in the pigment in tattoos and offers us a far more effective and less brutal solution to unwanted tattoos.

Laser tattoo removal is very effective in fading and completely removing tattoos. However, some tattoos can be more difficult to treat than others, particularly those containing yellow, purple or pastel-coloured pigments. Black tattoos are easier and quicker to remove than coloured ones since laser light can easily distinguish the darker black pigment from the skin. You will need multiple treatments to clear the tattoo. On average, this can be between 10 and 14 treatments.

Laser tattoo removal involves firing a powerful laser to break up and destroy the pigment particles of the tattoo in the skin. The skin will “frost” as the tattoo is treated during treatment. As a result, the treatment can be uncomfortable, but treatment times are relatively fast, depending on the tattoo’s size. The treatment can be uncomfortable but will not have any significant side effects or downtime. Potential side-effects can include scabbing, itching, scarring, blistering and pigmentation irregularities; however, these are rare.

Hyperhidrosis disorder is a condition that results in excessive sweating.

Sweating is a natural response to certain conditions, such as warm weather, physical activity, stress, and feelings of fear or anger. With hyperhidrosis, you sweat more than usual for no apparent reason. The underlying cause depends on which type of hyperhidrosis you have. This sweating can occur in unusual situations, such as in cooler weather, or without any trigger at all.

Through a systematic evaluation of causes and triggers of hyperhidrosis, followed by a judicious, stepwise approach to treatment, many people with this annoying disorder can sometimes achieve good results and improved quality of life. The followings are various types of treatments:

• Over-the-counter antiperspirants containing a low dose of metal salt (usually aluminium) are usually tried first because they are readily available.

Botox works by blocking the nerves responsible for activating your sweat glands. Normally, your nervous system activates your sweat glands when your body temperature rises. This is how your body automatically cools itself. In people with hyperhidrosis, however, the nerves that signal the sweat glands are overactive. When you receive Botox injections directly into the area of your body that commonly sweats, your overactive nerves are essentially paralyzed. When your nerves can’t signal your sweat glands, you don’t sweat. However, Botox only prevents sweating in the specific area where it’s injected. The injections are usually tolerable.

For most people, laser hair removal does not hurt. However, it all depends on your threshold for pain. Most people say that it feels like snapping a rubber band against the skin. But if you’re overly sensitive to pain, you may experience some minor discomfort.

The laser treatment for hair bleaching is fundamentally a hair coloring treatment. This treatment does not remove the hair but changes its color to improve your overall appearance. Mostly, people get their dark-colored hair treated with laser hair bleaching treatment. As a result, the hair color changes, thus becoming invisible on your skin.
