How Gold Stamp Microneedling Works

A topical anaesthetic cream is applied 30 to 45 minutes before treatment. The gold-coated stamp or roller creates a controlled pattern of micro-channels in the skin at Dr. Al Zaabi’s selected depth — ranging from 0.5 mm for fine lines and surface texture to 2.5 mm for deeper acne scars. Each micro-channel activates the wound-healing response: platelets aggregate and release growth factors, fibroblasts migrate to the area, and new collagen and elastin fibres are synthesised over the following weeks.

The micro-channels also serve as delivery pathways for topical actives applied during treatment. Hyaluronic acid, vitamin C serums, or PRP applied immediately after needling penetrate to the dermal layer through these channels — absorption is significantly higher than with topical-only application. What Gold Stamp Treats

Acne scars: Rolling scars (broad, undulating depressions), boxcar scars (sharply defined depressions), and superficial ice-pick scars all respond to repeated Gold Stamp sessions. Deeper ice-pick scars may require combination with subcision or TCA cross for optimal results.

Before and After Your Session

Before: Stop retinoids and AHA/BHA products five days before your session. No active acne, open skin, cold sores, or herpes in the treatment area on the day of appointment. Avoid sun exposure two weeks before treatment. Stay hydrated. Disclose all current medications, including isotretinoin — patients on or recently off isotretinoin (within six months) are not suitable for microneedling.

After: Apply SPF 50+ every morning from the day after treatment for at least two weeks. Use only gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and moisturiser for 48 hours. No makeup for 24 hours. Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and intense exercise for 24 hours. Do not manually peel or pick at flaking skin — allow it to shed naturally.
