HOW IT WORKS

Laser energy targets the melanin inside each hair follicle, converting to heat that disables the follicle at its root. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are required to treat all follicles progressively. Most patients achieve 70–90% permanent hair reduction after a full course.

IS IT SAFE FOR MY SKIN TONE?

Yes. The Quanta Thunder’s 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser bypasses surface melanin and targets the follicle selectively — clinically validated as safe for Fitzpatrick types IV, V, and VI. Every patient undergoes a consultation before treatment begins. Patch testing is performed where indicated.

BEFORE YOUR SESSION

– Shave the treatment area 24–48 hours before
– Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 4 weeks before
– Stop waxing, threading, or plucking 4 weeks before (shaving is fine)
– Avoid retinoids and AHAs on the area for 1 week before

AFTER YOUR SESSION

– Apply SPF 50+ to treated areas daily
– Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks post-treatment
– Avoid heat (saunas, steam rooms, hot showers) for 48 hours
– Do not wax or pluck between sessions
