Two Wavelengths, Two Applications

Clear + Brilliant Original (1440 nm): The original wavelength targets the superficial dermis and is particularly effective for improving skin texture, refining pores, and maintaining an even skin tone. This setting is well-suited to patients who want a regular maintenance treatment every four to six weeks with minimal downtime.

Clear + Brilliant Perméa (1927 nm): The 1927 nm wavelength targets the epidermis more aggressively and is highly effective for surface pigmentation, dull skin, and mild sun damage. The Procedure

A Clear + Brilliant session takes thirty to forty-five minutes in total. Topical numbing cream is applied for thirty to forty-five minutes before the laser pass. The handpiece is moved across the treatment area using a systematic pattern to ensure even coverage. Most patients describe the sensation during treatment as a warm, gritty feeling — comparable to a mild sandpaper sensation on the skin. After the laser pass, a soothing serum and SPF are applied.

Immediately after treatment your skin will appear pink or red, similar to mild sunburn. This settles within four to six hours in most patients. Fine bronzing and a sandy texture on the skin surface develop over days two to four as the treated micro-zones shed. By day five to seven the skin surface is smooth and visibly clearer. There is no crusting or open wound at any stage with Clear + Brilliant.

Sessions and Maintenance

Most patients begin with a course of three to six sessions spaced three to four weeks apart. This initial course produces the most visible improvement in tone, texture, and glow. After the initial course, monthly or six-weekly maintenance sessions keep the skin in an improved state. Many patients include Clear + Brilliant as a regular part of their skin maintenance alongside their home skincare routine.

Aftercare

For the first twenty-four to forty-eight hours after treatment, avoid direct sun exposure, strenuous exercise, saunas, and steam rooms. Use a gentle cleanser and a non-irritating moisturiser. Apply SPF 50 every morning without exception. Do not use retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or vitamin C serums for five days post-treatment, then reintroduce gradually. Do not pick or rub the bronzing skin as it sheds naturally.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Clear + Brilliant is appropriate for adults of all Fitzpatrick skin types who want to maintain or improve skin quality with minimal downtime. It is particularly well-suited to patients in their late twenties to early forties who want to prevent rather than correct photoageing. It is not appropriate during pregnancy, if you have an active skin infection or cold sore outbreak in the treatment area, or if you are using isotretinoin. Patients with very dark skin (Fitzpatrick VI) should have a patch test and should be treated at lower settings to avoid post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
